Virtual Studio-Technics

THOMA offers the whole range of tracking technologies for virtual studios.
The highlight is the contact-free IR-system, called "Walkfinder". It has an unrivalled precision and full 3D-360° capability. The calibration process is fast and simple. Contrary to mechanical systems, re-calibration is not neccessary during production.
In addition THOMA has mechanical tracking-systems with encoded heads and pedestals. All encoders are to the highest resolution and accuracy.
From quarter I 2009 onwards THOMA offers Sensor-Kits for all popular fluid-heads. The focus is virtual production with existing support-equipment and savings of  investment costs.

The Sensor-Kits is a modular system and consists of:

  • Assembly-unit for the fluid-head
  • 5-channel position-electronics
  • 2 lens-sensors ENG (Zoom und Focus)
  • Connection cables 

The assembly unit differs only in the adapter-parts.


THOMA-Sensor-Systems are based on in-house encoder-technology and cover a full range:
