THOMA - Colometer TF5

Der THOMA Colormeter TF5 is a computerized instrument, designed for all applicatios requiring accurate and dependable, reproducible analysis of color data either of radiant or reflectant light sources.
The three basic colors are analyzed separately with extreme precision. To maximise convenience in operation, the relevant data being shown simultaneously on three LCD-display panels.
The TF5 is a tool for engineers and cameramen, designed to control and to maintain lighting conditions. 

Application:

• Development and manufacture of lamps and luminaries
• Control of function and performance of light sources in instrumentation and industrial applications
• Measurement of workshop-, road-, traffic-, theatre- and sportsarena-lighting
• Calibration of light and light-balancing
• Filter correction for all aspects of video, motion pictures and even still shooting in studios and on location
• Definition of frequencies of electrical  or any other intermittent light sources
• Definition of running speed of motion pictures reflex cameras

Setting light and precise control of color temperature when shooting video, motion picture and stills, in a studio or on location, will save shooting time and will ease color-correction in postproduction significantly
The TF5 has been designed to bridge the gap between the low-priced single function meters and expensive laboratory-type instruments. In it's range and precision, it's applications and it's coherence and simplicity in operation, the TF5 represents an unique technological advancement both in it's own and relative to significantly higher priced instruments.

Sensor-head:

• 3 Silicon-photoelements in planar mount 
• optical compensation acc. DIN 5033 resp. CIE 15/1971(angle of view 2 degrees), each  with  RGB individually tuned amplifier 
• Front-mounted phototransistor metering frequencies or intermittend light sources
