TR3 Roll-Axis
Description
The TR3 Remote-Heads are extremely robust. Numerous systems are in use for many years, operating in difficult enviroments. The combination with high end electronics makes a remote-head which is unrivalled in smooth and jerk-free movements.
The flackness-free motor-gear-unit drives the axes noise-free by means of a special tooth-belt. By a high-resolution incremental encoder the motions of the axes are digitally captured. Due to the hollow shaft construction we have applied MIL-sliprings.
A 32-Bit microprocessor provides the necessary control accuracy and the necessary software-transfer to the servo-electronic.
The Roll axis gives acces to a new dimension of operation
The head parts are NC-milled from DUR-aluminium with high strength. The motor-gear-unit is free of backlash and works very smooth and noiseless by means of a special tooth belt.
The free transmission is 350 mm. The motion of the roll axis is digitally captured by an incremental encoder with 400.000 increments / 360° as a retrofit item.
For adjustment the point of gravity and centering the objective, there is the touch-and-go system, vertically and laterally adjustable.
The roll axis motor is connected to the servo electronic (iris canal). The activation and adjustment takes place at the remote head TR3-8. A software is especially made for working with the new roll axis.
Remote controlling by choosing the THOMA-TR3 manual regulator for zoom or roll.
The Head In detail:
- payload 40 kg.
- Corpus DUR-Aluminium ; NC-milled
- Pan-und Tilt-axis fitted with 130 mm fourpoint-ballbearing
- Flackless motor-gear-unit (friction-wheel)
- Axis-drive by tooth-belt (low level noise)
- High-resolution encoders for digitally motion control of the axes
- Sliprings in MIL-application
- Head mounting with halfball, flat base or Mitchell adapter
- Electrical conections positioned at the flanch of the pan/tilt-axes
- two bubbles to level the head
- Drive-electronics intgrated (32 Bit micro-processor)
- Teach-in operation up to 8 minutes for all axes (P/T/Z/F/I)
For Film- oder Video-operation the following connectors have to be ordered:
