Walkfinder studio-target
Description
The studio-target with 5 aktive-markers is a precision measuring device.
The relative position of the 5 markers is determined accurately and stored in the WF-software.
The zero-position of the target is determined by 2 refence-pins
In zero-position all WF-cameras must see the target
The target is connected via flash cable to one of the position-electronics
Function of the Studio-Target:
Studio-calibration in conjunction with the calibration-rod
Studio-camera-calibration in conjunction with the camera-target
All calibration processes do not need any additional measurement tools or other accessories. Precision and accuracy of calibration is determined only by the precision-targets and software.
Studio-calibration-process:
- the studio-target is positioned in zero-position on studio-floor (reference pins)
- All WF-cameras to see the studio-target in zero-position
- The studio-target and calibration-rod is connected to one position-electronics
- The host or laptop is in studio-calibration-mode and the calibration process is started
- The calibration-rod is moved close to the studio-target for appr. 50sec. (turns in all directions and cover app. 15m²
- The host has stored around 10.000 to 30.000 data-packs at a rate of 50/60Hz
- After a few seconds the results are avalable and will be stored
- Time requirement: appr. 5 Minutes
- Result: the studio-dimensions in X-Y-Z and the P-T-R-direction are measured and stored
A re-calibration is neccessary only if conditions in the studio have changed (e.g.: position of a WF-camera)
Studio-Camera- resp. CCD-Chip-Calibration-process:
- The studio-target is mounted to the studio-camera replacing the lens (bajonet-interface)
- The camera-target is fixed at the studio-camera by using the adequate adaptor
- Both targets are connected to the specific position-elektronics
- The studio-camera is positioned close to the zero point of the studio
- The host/laptop is in mode CCD-Chip-calibration and the process is initiated
- After 5 sec the results are available
- Each camera-target is assigned to a studio-camera by its different geometrie
- The position of the CCD-Chip realative to the camera-target is determined in X-Y-Z-P-T-R measures and will be stored
A re-calibration is recommended only ones a week
